Even though this is a recent picture of me, I guess this is where my mind still lives: the ’80s. A time that burst with color, wild hairstyles, the golden age of gaming, drive-in theaters, and movie magic. A time filled with fond memories. The era when, as a teen, I met my silver-screen heroes: Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Tom Cruise. Who can forget The Terminator or Rocky III ? The date on the picture was added by today’s technology—tech you could only dream about after watching movies like WarGames and Short Circuit . I may not wear bright clothing—or, for the most part, a mullet—anymore, but I relive those times and experiences through my books. Owen Able and the Two-Headed Dragon , my first novel, is a prime example of that. The idea was born within minutes, and I knew immediately that I wanted to write a series.
